The prospect of a dream house is an effective motivator to strive and work hard. A piece of real estate is a real investment especially in a strong real estate market because you can flip it, rent it out, or sell it after a few years. There’s no better motivator than to look at some of the best homes owned by top celebrities today. Here are 5 celebrity houses to get you started.
One Direction alum Zayn Malik is no stranger to the glamorous life so when he broke up with former flame Gigi Hadid, he made up for the loss by buying a glitzy bachelor pad in Manhattan worth $10.5M. The penthouse is located in trendy Soho and boasts 3,597 sq. feet. of space, with four bedrooms and a state-of-the-art kitchen. The building used to be an industrial silk factory before it was refurbished to house luxury condos complete with white oak flooring, barrel-vaulted ceilings, and marble finishes.
Late night superstar James Corden is English through and through but that doesn’t mean he can’t splurge on luxurious digs in the US, where he works. He is currently renting a 24M Malibu mansion for a whopping $80,000 a month. It’s not bad considering that the house is a mini-resort with its infinity pool and an in-house chef. The beachside property offers great views of the ocean as well as some much-needed privacy from photographers.
Taylor Swift owns Samuel Goldwyn’s Beverly Hills Mansion which she bought in 2015. The singer worked with architects and interior designers to restore the mansion to its 1930s glory. The mansion has 7 bedrooms, 10 baths, a movie room, a library, a pool and pool house, a tennis court and a master suite that boasts of the best view in LA. The home is rich in history since it was used multiple times by the movie mogul as collateral to fund a few of his blockbusters, including Wuthering Heights and The Best Years of Our Lives.
Meg Ryan was everyone’s girlfriend in the 90s and although you don’t get to see quite a lot of her today, she still enjoys hefty movie royalties that allow her to live in style. Ryan is also an interior designer which explains why she put money down for her SoHo loft in 2014. Formerly owned by Hank Azaria, the loft has 4,100 sq. m. of space. She chose a modern minimalist design with contrasting textures of wood and metal that optimized the light coming in from the loft’s huge windows. The place was later sold for $9.8M.
Cyrus bought a 5.8M home in Franklin, Tennessee in 2017, her first real estate purchase in her home state. The farmhouse style property is located near her family home just off Hillsboro Road. Built in 2014, the house has 6,689 sq. ft. of space, and comes with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a large kitchen, wet bar, and two fireplaces. The home also has its own elevator, pool, and spa.
Real estate is a stable and sure investment for the future. Work hard, save and invest on properties that will pay off in the long run. Celebrities know this is the secret to making your fortune last, so follow suit. Invest in real estate when you can afford it.
